Q I’ve signed up and created a password. What do I do next?
A Fill out the new member evaluation as soon as possible. The sooner your check-in coach gets that information, the sooner they can start working on your program.
Q What is a check-in coach?
A Your check-in coach is your lifeline to Savage. You will communicate with your check-in coach on a regular basis, so that he/she can adjust your program, in order to reach your goals. All of the Savage coaches are highly educated fitness professionals, with degrees and certifications from the top institutions in fitness. Our coaches have all competed, and although most are retired, they all walk the walk, by living a healthy lifestyle! If you would like to request a check-in coach, please write it in the last question on the evaluation. Click here to meet the coaches!
Q How do I get my workouts, and which ones do I do?
A You must be logged in. Click on MY WORKOUT, in the blue tool bar at the top of the page. If your program offers more than one weight training option, it is because there is a beginner/intermediate workout, and an advanced workout. Your check-in coach will help you decide which workout best suits your current fitness level and your goals.
Your training schedule is listed at the bottom of the weight training workout. This schedule can be adjusted to accommodate your schedule.
New workouts are posted on the first of the month. We encourage your to print out all of your workouts that day. Many girls keep their Savage workouts in a binder. Another great idea is to put your current workout in a plastic sleeve, so that it will stay in good condition at the gym.
On this program you will do BOTH cardio and strength. You can decide how you’d like to break it up. Some girls do it all at once, some make 2 trips to the gym. We can help you figure out a system that fits your schedule.
You will see a functional workout, which is to be performed 1x/week. SPT members will have a Fitness Girl Workout.
All of the workouts are specialized to the program you have enrolled in. As you check-in each week, your coach may make modifications for you, based on factors such as fitness level, injuries, availability of equipment, and your progress.
Your check-in coach will give you cardio guidelines, once they read through your evaluation.
Q Where can I find descriptions for all of the exercises?
A In the glossary! You must be logged in. Click on GLOSSARY in the blue tool bar at the top of the page. You will find definitions and videos for the exercises in our workouts. We update the glossary each month, with any new moves you will find on the workouts.
Q What are supplemental workouts, and where can I find them?
A You must be logged in. Click on SUPPLEMENTAL in the blue tool bar at the top of the page. On the supplemental page you will find a large selection of workouts for different body parts, home workouts, hotel workouts, even water workouts! Talk with your check-in coach about incorporating some of these workouts if you are traveling, can’t make it to the gym, or just need a little more attention in one body part.
Q When do I get my customized nutrition plan?
A The first thing you will get regarding nutrition, is a Clean Food List. We ask that you eat only food from this list for the first three days, and log everything. This is a big adjustment for many!
A few days later, after Cathy and your check-in coach have read through your evaluation, you will receive your customized nutrition. This plan is as customized as it can be after just “meeting” you. We will give you serving sizes, ounces, and what we recommend with each meal. We will also give you a sample menu. As you check-in each week, we will monitor your progress, and further customize your nutrition, to meet your goals. It is impossible to fully customize to a T on day one. We want to see how your body responds, and keep you fed and full of energy for your workouts!
Q What is a check-in?
A Check-ins are a quick email you send to us, to let us know how you are progressing. This is the best way for us to monitor your program. It’s a fact, the girls who have the most success, never miss a check in! Your check-in coach will tell you which day of the week to send it in.
Check-in procedures:
1. login to the website
2. click on check-in (in the blue bar at the top of the page, on the right)
3. choose the check-in form for your program
4. Copy everything from “cold hard facts” to “overall energy”
5. Paste it into the body of an email
6. Type your answers into the form in the body of the email.
7. Send this to your check-in coach on the day you are supposed to check-in, and attach pictures
You will get a response to your check-in within 48 hours, providing you did not send it in late. Please attach pictures to every check-in. We can’t make changes if we can’t see you. To speed up the check in process, it’s best to you include all things in one email – photos, food journal and check in. Sending multiple emails slows the process.
Q I want to compete. Where do I start?
Once you join, you will be able to download a COMPETITOR’S GUIDE, and GUIDE TO THE FEDERATIONS AND DIVISIONS. Then your coach will help you choose what is best for you and your goals!
Q What are your hours, and how long should it take for me to get a response to my questions?
A The Savage coaches work Monday-Friday, and you can expect an email response to general questions within 24 hours (M-F), and with 48 hours (M-F) for a check-in response.
Q What is the cancellation policy?
A We require a 5 day notice, prior to your next billing cycle, to cancel your membership if you do not wish to be charged again. Once your cancellation is processed, you will no longer have access to the private website or coaching services. If you have any questions, please contact Customer Support by using the Customer Support email forms in the private site.
Please use the “Contact Support” form inside the private website. We’ll respond as soon as possible to confirm the account cancellation via email. Please note that cancellations via email may take up to 5 days from receipt of your request to process. Once your cancellation has been processed, you will not be billed again and your cancellation will be effective immediately. As of the day of cancellation, you will no longer have access to the private website or coaching services.
